About Sporting Wheelies


Sporting Wheelies and Disabled Association has been helping Queenslanders with a disability lead active, healthy lives and achieve their sporting dreams since 1977.

Throughout that time, we have inspired success in para sports from social community programs to Paralympic success.

Sporting Wheelies' will build Australia's first Para Sports Clubhouse in Milton, Queensland.

The center will combine industry-leading facilities with world-class rehabilitation and support services, bringing together disability experts, allied health specialists, and Para Sport coaches to improve the lives of people with a disability.


The Role - Fundraising and Events Lead
***Reporting to the General Manager of Business Development & Fundraising, The Fundraising and Events Lead will work with the Business Development Team and be responsible for the implementation and growth of the Game Changer program, fundraising, and brand and campaign management. The role will assist in the coordination of events and contribute to Sporting Wheelies' strategic plan.


As Fundraising and Events Lead, you will be responsible for:

  • Identify, research, execute and provide support to new fundraising events and initiatives to complement existing strategies
  • Providing support to Business Development Manager Workplace Giving, Peerto Peer campaigns, including administration, delivery of benefits, and coordination of engagement events
  • Reporting fundraising activities and events
  • Retention of regular donors through direct mail, digital, phone, and other channels to meet or exceed income and engagement
  • Collaborate with the Business Development team on crossteam fundraising events
  • Maintain stakeholder relationships, internally and externally
  • Develop, manage, and implement strategy
