About the organisation
***Narang Bir-rong recruits, trains and supports Aboriginal out of home carers and kin, and case manages children and young people in out of home care. We also provide family preservation services to Aboriginal families to make meaningful change in child protection issues and reduce the number of Aboriginal children and young people entering the care system.


Narang Bir-rong believes it is critical that Aboriginal children, young people and their families are empowered through supporting their individual identity, self-esteem and have goals to meet their social, emotional and behavioural needs.


About the role:


Responsibilities:


  • Develop and implement HR policies, procedures and programs in line with company objectives and best practices
  • Assist in recruitment processes, including posting job openings, screening resumes, scheduling and conducting interviews, and extending job offers
  • Ensure all employee records are maintained accurately and securely
  • Manage employee relations, including conflict resolution and disciplinary procedures
  • Coordinate employee training and development programs
  • Manage the performance review process and assist managers with performance management and development plans
  • Work closely with management to ensure compliance with all employment laws and regulations
  • Provide HR support to employees and managers, addressing inquiries and concerns in a timely and professional manner

Requirements:


  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources / or considerable relevant experience in HR matters
  • 3+ years of experience in a human resources role
  • Strong knowledge of HR policies and procedures, employment laws, and regulations
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively with all levels of employees and management
  • Strong organizational and problemsolving skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a fastpaced environment with changing priorities
  • Experience with HRIS and other HRrelated software

Essential:


  • Valid NSW Driver's license
  • Probity checks including NSW Working with Children's check & National Police Check
  • Evidence of COVID19 Vaccination
  • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality
