We have an exciting opportunity available for a qualified and experienced

Mechanical Fitter to join our team in Revesby. Reporting to the Maintenance Team Leader this is a diverse role responsible for the maintenance and repair of machinery, equipment and facilities to ensure the continual running of the plant.


The Role

  • Perform preventative maintenance on production machines.
  • Inspect machinery and perform repairs on site, arranging replacement equipment as required.
  • Report and communicate any equipment malfunction and maintenance/repair, providing recommendations on the corrective action required.
  • Operate conventional metal lashes and milling machines.
  • Perform fabrication tasks including welding, cutting and grinding.
  • Provide mechanical support and technical knowledge to internal and external clients as required.
  • Maintain the internal maintenance management system.
  • Ensure all work is carried out to quality and specification requirements and that production/maintenance documents are completed accurately and on time.

Selection Criteria

  • Trade qualification as a Mechanical Fitter.
  • Minimum 3+ years' mechanical fitting experience, working on industrial manufacturing plant and machinery.
  • Welding experience coupled with advanced knowledge of fabrication practices.
  • Knowledge of pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
  • Competent in the operation of milling and lathing machines.
  • Ability to interpret engineering and mechanical drawings.


This role would suit a motivated self-starter that requires little direction, has a hands on approach, is able to troubleshoot and resolve problems quickly and independently and is able to manage and prioritise competing work demands.


A current High Risk Work Licence (forklift, rigging, dogging), an advanced certificate in pneumatic and hydraulic systems and Confined Spaces / Working at Heights tickets will be highly regarded.
