- Plan and manifest the timely and efficient delivery of freight to ensure DIFOT and cost management targets are achieved
- Book additional ad-hoc transport as required
- Ensure the dispatching depot is provided manifests and appropriate paperwork
- Liaise with depot supervisors and team leaders to ensure timely loading of PUD vehicles
- Ensure all incidents, hazards and non-compliances are reported and corrective actions implemented in a timely manner
- Investigate and resolve service and/or operational issues in a timely manner
- Ensure runs are compliant with all statutory and company requirements, including but not limited to driver fatigue and load restraint
- Ensure critical processes are completed in our Transport Management System within required timeframes.
- Basic to intermediate skills in MS Office applications, and capable of learning new systems and working with technologies generally
- Good written and verbal communication, time management and customer service skills
- Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose problems, know when to seek advice, suggest solutions or escalate as required
- Bonus: Forklift experience: Loading/unloading trucks.

YOUR ROLE
The Transport Planner in our Ground & Rail division is responsible for the day to day planning of deliveries on the local and regional PUD fleet within the scope of responsibility (usually state-based), ensuring effective utilisation of both CEVA sub-contractors and contract carriers, against customer and statutory requirements.
