Could you be the full-time Maintenance Material Planner in
Nowergup, Perth we're looking for?

Alstom has been awarded the PTA Australia's $1.6 billion Railcar Program.

As part of the project we will design, manufacture and maintain 246 new railcars needed for METRONET projects and the replacement of the A-series trains.

We will also deliver 6 DMU railcars to replace the five diesel railcars that operate the twice daily Australind service between Perth and Bunbury.


We have a new opportunity for an experienced Material Planner - Maintenance to join our Supply Chain team on our exciting Metronet project.

This position will be responsible for executing the material planning and inventory strategies in coordination with Industrialization and Operations teams.


Day to day activities will involve managing purchase requisition flow up to the material planning documents, ensure accuracy of the material planning master data and identify priorities associated with risk/impact anticipation.


We'll look to you for:


  • Ensure coordination with the Maintenance Project Team to clarify maintenance planning and impacts on material schedule
  • Working closely with planning, procurement and logistics teams to ensure materials are delivered to the right location, in the right condition at the right time
  • Monitor the safety stock levels for materials in consultation with the Procurement Team and the Supply Chain Manager
  • Resolve receiving issues, track missing parts and ensure nonconformities replacement.
  • Contribute to new business risk assessments and mitigation action plan.

  • Experienced using SAP is highly desirable.
  • Attention to detail and strong analytical skills
  • Previous experience working within a project or maintenance environment
  • Working knowledge of Material requirement planning and inventory control system is desirable
  • Qualification in Logistics, Supply Chain or Engineering (or equivalent industry experience)
  • Strong communication, interpersonal and liaison skills.
