About the role


We are looking for a
Planner / Scheduler to play a key role in providing the Planning / Scheduling function necessary to enable the Crane execution team to provide support activities across Pilbara PMO sites.

This role will see you Planning and Scheduling the Cranes and Transport assets and personal across the East and West Pilbara.

Interaction within our Cranes and Transport Planning and Scheduling and Execution teams is also an important feature of this role as assets and personal are shared between the East and West locations reducing the need for external hire.

Reporting to the Planning Superintendent Cranes and Transport, you will also be:

  • Optimising fleet and maximising resource utilisation to reduce hire spend in line with current practices
  • Ensuring the Crane Execution Team is set up to provide customers with a high quality, timely and safe service
  • Planning and scheduling functionality for cranes across all the Pilbara operating sites
  • Interaction within our planning team to share assets and personnel where possible
  • Interaction with site planning teams to challenge requests and look for efficiencies to fully utilize our internal assets and personal
  • Key link between internal and external resource requests and working with C&T Hire and vendors to secure external resources when required
  • Support in resourcing and planning cranes for sustaining capital
  • Provide support and training to team members in the Work Management process
  • Key input to the weekly metrics for resource utilisation and asset utilisation.

What you'll bring

To succeed in this role, you will have:

  • Understanding of RTIO safety systems and demonstrated commitment to health & safety
  • Respect for others and an allinclusive mindset
  • Proven experience working in SAP
  • Proven experience working with Microsoft Project
  • Proven experience working with Excel
  • Planning/Scheduling experience focussed on services
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills
  • Working knowledge of Crane capacity calculations
  • Western Australian C class driver's licence
  • Exposure to maintenance activities across Fixed Plant and HME
  • Exposure to heavy mining equipment builds
