Our client, Alstom are looking for experienced Mechanical Fitters to join their Maintenance teams based in Wulkuraka Queensland.


Client Details


Our client is a leading, global supplier of Locomotive Rolling Stock and work across multiple Government Projects covering manufacturing, maintenance and signalling solutions.


With various locations across Australia, the QLD site in Wulkuraka is quite a large site to join and progress within, covering all maintenance aspects.


Description
Joining the Maintenance Team in Wulkuraka as an Mechanical Fitter/Technician will see you:

  • Carry out routine examinations
  • Fault finding
  • Interrogation and diagnostic testing on heavy rail equipment installed on the QNGR Project.
  • Actively maintain and repair rail equipment installed
  • Fulfil safety procedures
  • Report daily and weekly on activity, problems found and measures taken to maintain
  • Operating and maintaining workshop equipment
  • Following instructions to complete tasks, and the ability to work both in a team and independent environment
  • General workshop duties


You will work alongside a variety of other team members from Trade Assistants to Store People and many more, in this team.


Profile
To be successfully considered for the role you will require:

  • Australian Citizenship or Permanent Residency
  • Relevant Australian trade qualifications
  • Ability to complete shift work
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Rolling stock / Aviation / Mining experience a bonus
  • Ability to pass a category 2 medical
  • Ability to pass a police check
  • Ability to get 2 positive references
  • Complete an Anti Money Laundering/Counter Terrorism Financing check.

Job Offer


The casual role is projected to be a 12 month assignment with a view to extension and/or a permanent position directly with Alstom.


The role hours will be 5.30am starts Mon to Fri day shift to begin with then progress to a 24/7 lifestyle roster which involves day and night shifts, 7 days a week on a rotating roster.

Permanent roles are also available.

Roles will be offered at Alstom's discretion.
