A bit about the role

The position will support the Team Leader - Freedom of Information & Privacy in a dynamic and fast paced role.

Some of your responsibilities will include, interpreting the _Freedom of Information _1982_ _(Vic) (
FOI Act) and _Privacy and Data Protection Act 2014_ (
PDP Act) and assisting in responding to requests for access to information and privacy queries and complaints.


What you'll deliver

  • Support in locating documents and responding to FOI and Privacy requests, in accordance with the legislative requirements and operational standards.
  • Assist with the management of FOI and Privacy requests, subpoenas and witness summons.
  • Support Council's functions under the _Health Records Act 2001._

What you'll bring

  • Previous experience, knowledge and understanding of the FOI and PDP Act.
  • Previous experience in a support role preferably within the government environment.
  • A proactive and confident approach with willingness to learn, and the ability to work in a team environment and to follow processes and procedures.
  • A positive, curious and flexible mind.
