- Under s25 of the Anti-Discrimination Act 1991, there is a genuine occupational requirement for the incumbent to be Indigenous to the Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander Community.
- Evidence of vaccination, or be able to be vaccinated against - Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and Hepatitis B.
- Tuberculosis screening - to identify if the tuberculosis vaccination may be required.
- Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed.
- MBBS or equivalent registrable with the Medical Board of Australia plus FRANZCOG or equivalent acceptable to the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists and registrable as a Obstetrics and Gynaecology specialist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
- Relevant qualification/s and registration must be provided to the appropriate supervisor/manager, prior to the commencement of clinical duties.
- Strong clinical and community experience in working collaboratively with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.
- Training and/or experience in providing culturally safe care for First Nations clients.
- Permanent part time (16 hours per fortnight)
- Estimated total remuneration up to $96,976 p.a., comprising:
- Senior Staff Specialist: Base hourly rate from $117 - $124.05 p.h
- Staff Specialist: Base hourly rate from $ $113.65 p.h
- Up to 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
