About the Team

The HR Operations team is accountable for the provision of payroll services for Western Sydney University and its entities to ensure approximately 5000 active staff members are paid accurately and on time each fortnight.


About the Role

The Head of HR Operations will be accountable for reviewing and improving existing HR processes and systems, ensuring best practise and compliance is prioritised.

Management and implementation of upgrades to both the operational process and related technology systems will be critical to the success of this position.


This role manages all payroll, superannuation and benefits administration for the University and its associated entities, as well as all audit and reporting requirements.


About You
You are an agile, performance-driven HR leader who seeks operational excellence in a fast-paced environment.

You will have a post graduate qualification or demonstrated extensive experience at a senior level leading HR operations, payroll, and benefit administration in a large, complex organisation.


You will have comprehensive knowledge of contemporary HR Information Systems, HR data management, analytics, and reporting functions with the ability to recognise and implement system and process improvements to further drive efficiencies.

Demonstrated knowledge of relevant employment law, payroll, taxation and superannuation legislation and requirements are critical to this role.


You will a high level of analytical, evaluative, and problem-solving skills, a demonstrated capacity to work collaboratively and independently, and the ability to successfully lead a team of professional and administrative staff to fulfill operational requirements with accuracy and on time.
