About the Team

The Recruitment team manages the end-to-end recruitment services for all fixed-term and permanent professional and academic positions across all schools and divisions of Western Sydney University and its entities.

We partner closely with our University stakeholders to deliver talent resourcing solutions in line with best practice methodologies, policies and processes to support University-wide recruitment activity.


About the Role
We have an exciting opportunity for a Recruitment Assistant to join our team This position is critical in supporting the recruitment function and key duties include:

  • Coordinating interviews
  • Conducting reference checks (verbal and written)
  • Managing the Honorary appointments (these are nonpaid, affiliate appointments between the University and leaders and members of academia, research, professions, business, industry, community, and the public sector, within Australia and overseas)
  • Other adhoc administrative support as required

About You
We are seeking an enthusiastic, self-motivated individual with strong administration and computer literacy skills to support the recruitment team.

You will have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and use your prioritisation and time management skills to keep abreast of a variety of tasks.

Importantly, you will have well-developed communication skills, both written and verbal, and the ability to deal with stakeholders at all levels.

You are a strong team player who also works well autonomously with the ability to demonstrate initiative.

Remuneration Package:
HEW Level 3 $76,951 to $83,911 p.a. (comprising Salary of $65,024 to $70,906 p.a., plus Superannuation and Leave Loading)
