My client are a market leading food manufacturing company who are looking for a positive, resilient and ambitious purchasing officer to grow and progress within their company.

The Role:

Develop material purchasing forecasts based on production requirements of the business;
Identify and source new/alternate suppliers to ensure the effective procurement of materials;
Reconcile significant variances and refine the forecast model to reflect updated demand plan or material yard.
Manage supplier relations to obtain favorable supplier terms/price negotiations and decrease lead times;
Create Purchase Orders in a timely and efficient manner using the MRP software and the demand plan for finished goods.

You will need:

Bachelor degree in engineering, accounting, business, commerce, supply chain or other relevant fields
Experience working in a similar role in a fastpaced environment, previous purchasing experience in an FMCG business strongly preferred
Working with fresh produce or short shelf life items favored
Sound understanding of procurement and purchasing principles
Positive, resilient and ambitious
