The Company
***Join one of Australians most iconic food manufacturers as Health & Safety Manager across their Sales business unit in which you'll ensure that the business is set up with the capability; expertise and practical know how to ensure their employees go home safe every day.

Reporting to the Sales Director, the HSE Manager will develop and embed

national initiatives to drive a strong safety culture and mindset throughout the

sales team in partnership with the Sales Leadership Team. The HSE team

partners with a number of stakeholders across the business to provide both

technical and practical HSE advice, ensuring HSE state regulations are complied

with


The Role
***Reporting to the Sales Director your roles and responsibilities will include:
  • Provide the leadership, structure, resources to improve HSE and engagement to best
  • in
  • class levels.
  • Build and drive the safety strategy and transformational agenda across
sales, leading projects to embed a strong safety behaviour.

  • Coach, support and lead a team of HSE professionals to comply with all Company and Legislative HSE policies and procedures.
  • Build a safety culture across all states through strong stakeholder
management and influencing skills.

  • Provide the leadership, structure, resources to improve HSE and engagement to best
in class levels.

  • Provide thought leadership and direction in managing risk across Australia and support teams in developing plans to manage risk across core threat to life areas.
  • Supporting the successful implementation of the Safety Steps to Zero
program and other safety initiatives.

  • Ensure compliance with the Company's HSE policies and procedures.

Your Background
***In order to be successful in this role, you will:
  • You will have strong track record in a HSE leadership role within a complex, diverse organisation.
  • Ability to drive a safety culture across a remote, widely spread workforce.
  • Experience working in a large matrix organisation, utilising strong stakeholder management and influencing skills.
  • Ability to interpret legislation, regulations and guidelines and make practical and commercial recommendations.
  • Tertiary qualifications in health, safety and environment or equivalent
preferred.
