    Working from concept to delivery, in the resources sector, we seek a Cost Controller / Cost Control Engineer to join our team in Brisbane

    16th April, 2024Wave Internationalis an independent consulting firm specialising in the execution of Engineering, Project Delivery and Asset Management services across Australia and overseas.

    Our clients cover the full spectrum of private and public enterprise, servicing the energy and resources, infrastructure, water, environment and urban development sectors.

    We are seeking aCost Controller / Cost EngineerwithContruent / Prismexperience to join our team in Brisbane.
    This is an exciting time to be part of Wave International as we continue to expand our scope nationally and internationally

    Key Deliverables:
    Monitoring and controlling cost activities through all phases of project lifecycle
    Running reports to identify opportunities for reductions in project cost including analysis of design changes, time, resource & cost implications
    Provision of variance reports in respect of costs, time & resources
    Maintaining the Project Management System applications including timesheet entry, weekly reports and general client requirements
    Developing work / cost breakdown structure for minor projects and studies
    Entering and maintaining budgets and forecasts for projects and studies
    Preparing up to date cost reports showing approved budgets, commitments, expenditures; forecasts, paid to date and amount outstanding
    Assisting with man-hours and expenditure reports, invoices, profit and margin reports
    Reconciling progress invoices, data entry, preparation of progress payment certificate and carry out changes to commitments as required

    Skills / Qualifications
    3-4+ years of relevant experience in the resources sector with a focus on Project Controls
    Experience usingPrism / Contruent
    Well developed time management skills, adept at prioritising work schedule in line with project deliverables, project lead times, ensuring internal and external stakeholders are informed
    Proficiency with industry standard software including Microsoft Excel and cost control programs

    Well established communication skills, and a readiness to build and establish working relationships with both internal and external customers is a key requirement to this role.
