This role is to coordinate all activities for the cost control and financial planning of allocated ACCIONA Energia wind farm construction projects, ensuring the day-to-day cost controls are executed efficiently and effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
- Cost Control and planning of projects, including review of approved budgets, setting budget goals, analysis and monitoring of performance against budget;
- Develop, under guidance from the broader EPC team and in accordance with internal requirements, the project cost baseline;
- Maintain the project cost reporting throughout the project life cycle;
- Work closely with the Deputy Project Director, Project Manager, Contracts Manager and Finance department to monitor cost performance, and maintain cashflow forecasting;
- Develop relationships across the project to facilitate maintenance and tracking of cost;
- Estimate potential additional works using first principle;
- Preparation of budget change requests for any changes to the project scope outside of the original parameters upon which the approved budget is based;
- Cost control reporting for the project.
- A Degree or equivalent background in Engineering and/or Accounting/Business or similar will be advantageous;
- Substantial experience in finance and cost control relating to largescale construction projects, preferably wind sector projects on both Principal and Contractor side ideally;
- Proven competence in financial auditing, production control, financial tracking of construction projects in a matrix organisation such as ACCIONA;
- Experience in working on sitebased construction/engineering projects;
- Exposure to Joint Venture projects advantageous;
- Advanced knowledge of MS Office Package especially Excel;
- Current driver's license;
- Fluent English. Spanish language skills highly regarded.
- Flexibility to travel as required.
