As a Cost Controller on the Aldoga Solar Farm project, your primary responsibility will be to coordinate all activities for the cost control and financial planning of the construction project, ensuring the day-to-day cost controls are executed efficiently and effectively.

Job Description

Cost Control and planning of the Aldoga Solar Farm project, including review of approved budgets, setting budget goals, analysis and monitoring of performance against budget;
Develop, under guidance from the broader EPC team and in accordance with internal requirements, the project cost baseline;
Maintain the project cost reporting throughout the project life cycle;
Work closely with the Project Director, Project Manager, Contracts Manager and Finance department to monitor cost performance, and maintain cashflow forecasting.
Develop relationships across the project to facilitate maintenance and tracking of cost
Estimate potential additional works using first principles
Preparation of budget change requests for any changes to the project scope outside of the original parameters upon which the approved budget is based
Cost control reporting for the project including:
Preparation of monthly cost reports (for both internal and external stakeholders) including analysis of deviations and any corrective measures proposed.
Reporting on cost related matters as required to facilitate management decisionmaking processes and ensuring optimal technical and economic viability.

Develop, implement and maintain up to date management of cost
Accuracy in all reporting and project controls
Maintain a cooperative and integrated relationship with relevant internal stakeholders in Australia and Spain.
Perform role with commitment to the Aldoga project values.

Required Skills and Competencies

A Degree or equivalent background in Engineering and/or Accounting/Business or similar will be advantageous;
Relevant experience (8+ years) in finance and cost control relating to largescale construction projects, preferably solar sector projects on both Principal and Contractor side ideally;
Proven competence in financial auditing, production control, financial tracking of construction projects;
Experience in working on sitebased construction/engineering projects;
Exposure to Joint Venture projects advantageous;
Advanced knowledge of MS Office Package especially Excel;
Current driver's license;
Fluent English;
Flexibility to travel as required.
