FinanceYour role as a Senior Financial Accountant will be pivotal in maintaining our fixed asset register and looking after accounting practices regarding leasing & occupancy for Country Road Group.

Reporting directly to the Financial Controller, you will work directly on month end and year end processes, including the being a subject matter expert for new accounting practices such as IFRS 16.

We are looking for an individual with a strong accounting background, fantastic attention to detail, and can deal with the fast-paced nature of the Retail industry.

What does the role involve?
Preparation and review of monthly accounting entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and monthly reports
Involvement with the year end statutory accounting process
Maintenance and ownership of the fixed asset register
Take ownership of leasing & occupancy accounting practices, including IFRS 16
Assist in the preparation of monthly profit & loss and the budgeting & forecasting process
Identification and implementation of process improvements
Who are we looking for?
Fully CA or CPA qualified
Ideally you will come from a Big 4 or Mid-Tier Accounting Firm background
Experience within a Retail environment will be looked upon favourably
Intermediate and above Excel Skills (Pivot Tables & V-Lookups)
Experience with IFRS 16 and other leasing accounting practices will be highly regarded
Strong communication skills to be able to deal with an array of stakeholders
