- Apply demonstrated skills and experience in safety, including risk management practices such as LOTO, Take 5, Permit to Work, and near-miss reporting.
- Utilize experience working with mechanical systems or sub-assemblies, including pneumatics, steam, hydraulics, power transmission, and fluid transfer.
- Utilize experience working with utilities such as compressed air, boilers, and trade waste.
- Trade qualification as a Mechanical Fitter
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar role
- Have excellent customer service and communication skills
- Be highly collaborative and a team player
- Experience working on packaging equipment or FMCG experience in meat processing
- Experience in food manufacturing factories with knowledge of processes and hygiene requirements
- Skilled in addressing breakdowns and performing effectively under production pressures.
- Proficient in conducting inspections for Preventative Maintenance.
- Some experience with equipment such as product filling, retorts/autoclaves, high-speed packaging (case packers, sealers, labellers, etc.), or check weighing/metal detectors

About your role
Real Pet Food (RPF) is on the hunt for a Mechanical Fitter who's ready to join our pack on the night shift. In this role, you'll be primary responsibility will be to provide preventative and corrective maintenance as part of our factory maintenance team and , you will report to the Maintenance Manager.
We're one of Australia's fastest-growing companies in the pet industry and we're looking for someone who's not afraid to take a walk on the wild side.
