We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Fitter to join our national manufacturing company located in the west of Ipswich. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the smooth operation and upkeep of our vehicles. Your expertise in mechanical maintenance and troubleshooting will contribute significantly to our organisation's success.

Description


As a Maintenance Fitter, you will be responsible for conducting regular inspections, diagnosing issues, and performing preventive maintenance on our machinery.

You'll efficiently handle breakdowns and work closely with the production team to minimize downtime.

Collaborating with engineering and maintenance teams, you'll identify opportunities for process improvement and contribute to the continuous enhancement of our manufacturing processes.


In this position, you will be working on a swing roster, with 10-12-hour shifts offering overtime and penalty rates, allowing you to strike a balance between work and personal life while maximizing your earnings.


Profile

  • Relevant trade qualification as a Cert 3 in Mechanical Engineering Maintenance Fitter or equivalent.
  • Proven experience in maintaining and troubleshooting production machinery in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical systems, hydraulics, and pneumatics.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and manuals.
  • Excellent problemsolving skills and a proactive approach to maintenance.
