Are you an experienced Mechanical Fitter looking for an exciting opportunity? Look no further Join a stalwart of the Australian food industry, an Australian-owned business that has been supplying frozen meal solutions to retail channels both nationally and internationally for over 35 years.


With planned increases in production and an upgrade of facilities, we are seeking a skilled Maintenance Fitter to join the maintenance team in this manufacturing facility in Wacol.


What You'll Be Doing:


  • Carrying out general engineering maintenance functions within the factory
  • Performing mechanical breakdown repair on production lines, freezers, pumps, and motors
  • Ensuring robust preventative maintenance is conducted on a shift work basis
  • Collaborating with the Maintenance Supervisor and team to ensure smooth operations

What We're Looking For:


  • Trade qualifications as a Mechanical Fitter
  • Minimum of 4 years experience in a manufacturing/maintenance fitter role after completing an apprenticeship
  • Ability to work overtime hours outside of normal rostered hours/days.
  • Working knowledge of WHS principles
  • Production maintenance, fabrication, repair, and MEX requests experience
  • Understanding quality assurance principles and maintaining hygiene and cleanliness standards in a foodmanufacturing environment
