The Role:


This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced and highly motivated advisor to contribute to the development and implementation of significant TradeStart strategies, services, programs, export opportunities, and associated analysis and advice in conjunction with the DTI and Austrade networks.

The role requires travel to regional areas of South Australia.


About You:

To be successful in this position, you must be able to demonstrate experience across the following key capabilities:

  • Strong client relationship management skills, ability to manage expectations and work as a team within the Department for Trade, and Investment and Austrade
  • International business development experience such as market selection, research or strategy development with the ability to identify investment and export opportunities for South Australia
  • Confident presentation skills and ability to work with the business community at all levels of seniority
  • Sound knowledge of key South Australian and Commonwealth Government's industry and trade development policies, processes, and legislation
  • Communicate clearly, concisely and effectively, both verbally and particularly in writing, with people at all levels including proven ability to establish and maintain networks, consult, liaise and negotiate with stakeholders and manage conflict with patience and diplomacy

Desirable Qualification:

Tertiary qualification in economics, business management, project management or similar, would be desirable


Special Conditions

  • Successful applicants may be required to obtain a satisfactory Department of Human Services Criminal History Check or National Police Check prior to employment. A renewal will be required every 3 years.
  • Successful applicants will be required to complete Austrade preemployment screening.
  • Must be an Australian citizen.
  • Must hold a current Australian driver's license.
  • Ability to travel throughout the region on a regular basis to meet with clients, major employers, local governments and industry associations.

Remuneration:

$104,938 min - $113,435 max (AS07)
