The Role:


Working closely with the Director, Minerals and Energy, this is an exciting opportunity for an experienced and highly motivated Business Development Officer to join our dedicated Minerals and Energy team to provide bespoke case management services and support the development of South Australia's renewable energy ecosystem.

This role reports directly to Director, Minerals and Energy will see you responsible for in depth research, writing Ministerial briefings, attending meetings with key stakeholders, providing case management services, supporting international business missions and attending local, interstate and international conferences (from time to time), including representing the state at South Australian Government booths.


About You:

To be successful in this position, you must be able to demonstrate experience across the following key capabilities:

  • Energy, mining, or chemical industry and sound knowledge of Australia's and South Australia's resources and industrial decarbonisation trends.
  • Working across government and industry, you will build key relationships and strategic alliances to deliver significant investment initiatives, including facilitate meetings between government agencies, local stakeholders including industry and academia to develop business cases for South Australia.
  • You will be a strategic thinker, collaborator and business developer with extensive knowledge in the sector and preferably with existing networks already established from across the sector

Desirable Qualification:


Tertiary qualifications in commerce, business or science are highly desirable, alternatively a minimum of three years' relevant industry (or similar) or government experience required.


Special Conditions:


Successful applicants may be required to obtain a satisfactory Department of Human Services Criminal History Check or National Police Check prior to employment.

A renewal will be required every 3 years.


Remuneration:

$97,022 min - $102,626 max
