    About the Company

    Davidson Technology are currently supporting a State Government Agency to secure a highly skilled Solution Architect to deliver on the conceptual and logical solution architecture aspects for significant initiatives within their Enterprise Data Platform program.

    About the Role

    As the Solution Architect, you'll be part of the Digital Solutions team and will play a crucial role in conceptualising and designing solutions within the Enterprise Data Platform program. This entails addressing both functional and technical aspects across various initiatives to upgrade data platforms and supporting framework systems. Collaborating with multiple teams within the Information & Technologies Branch, including Development, Enterprise Architecture, and Cyber Security, among others, you will contribute to solution architecture development throughout all project phases. Responsibilities include reviewing and recommending solutions for enhancing modules within the program, addressing technical debt, transitioning systems, and exploring cloud-based solutions, with a focus on delivering high-quality outcomes aligned with client requirements and service excellence. This role involves working within dedicated teams to achieve specific project objectives.

    About You

    As the successful applicant, you will demonstrate extensive experience in designing and implementing on-premises, cloud, and hybrid solutions, particularly within Microsoft technology stacks for large, complex integrations. Mandatory requirements include a minimum of five years' experience in delivering solutions on Microsoft Azure Analytics, Management, and Governance services, along with expertise in both functional and technical architecture. You should demonstrate proficiency in delivering multiple concurrent initiatives and possess exceptional relationship, communication, and negotiation skills. Desirable attributes include experience in Business Information Systems delivery, knowledge of ITIL and Development Frameworks, awareness of solution architecture trends, and ensuring adherence to enterprise standards. The role involves establishing assessment criteria for system architecture components, coordinating design activities, and leading the development of architectures for complex systems while ensuring consistency with specified requirements.

    The Benefits

    This role offers a great hourly rate up to $145 (Inc Super) on an initial 14-month contract and the possibility of further extensions.
