Opportunity
Market-rate day-rate contract opportunity for an EL1 level Penetration Testing Team Lead to join our federal government client. Opportunity can be based in Melbourne, Canberra, Adelaide and Brisbane CBD's. 12 month initial terms with 2 x 12 month options to extend. Potential contract duration 3 years and beyond.


Context

This large federal agency operates Australia's welfare payments systems and associated flagship government portal for Australians to access a range of services.

This is a nationally Distributed Agile team operating SAFe project delivery methodologies. Public cloud and on-prem, AWS/Azure, SAP, Pega, Model204, and bespoke digital (iOS, Android, Java, JavaScript, Angular).


Skills required
The Agency is seeking applicants with the following skills and abilities:

  • manage complex cyber threat emulation activities in support of certification, accreditation, operational priorities or by request from agency Senior Leadership
- lead complex cyber threat emulation activities to verify deficiencies in technical security controls within the agency ICT systems
- collaborate with agency cyber security organisations to provide remediation advice to system owners and managers to improve system security posture
- assess cyber threat intelligence and interpret threat reporting for indicators of compromise and threat actor tools, techniques and procedures
- provide complex technical advice, recommendations and consultancy on networks, infrastructure, products and services supplied
- represent management in working groups and meetings to provide a balanced cyber security perspective


Requirements:


  • Australian Citizenship is mandatory
  • Ability to work a hybrid onsite/offsite model (23 days in office 12 days from home)
  • Deep experience in penetration testing, cyber security, and team leadership
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in Information Technology (Bachelor's degree or higher)
  • Experience working in federal government or large enterprise clients with nationally distributed teams and multijurisdictional projects
  • Exceptional communication skills and stakeholder management and engagement
