The Client & Role:


We're currently working with a large-scale not for profit organisation who are looking to bring on a Quality, Compliance and Policy Specialist, the role will be a 3-month engagement with a potential for longer term work.


As the Quality, Compliance and Policy Specialist you will be reporting to federal and state regulators, supporting managers to achieve policy provision outcomes, maintaining the quality management system and monitoring the risk register.

Responsibilities:
  • Regulatory, contractual and legislative Compliance
  • Ensure compliance with statutory, contractual & organisational standards.
  • In conjunction with the GM, complete the quarterly quality and compliance reports.
  • Ensure timelines for compliance, contractual and organisational reporting timelines are met.
  • Be responsible for the contribution, oversight and maintenance of the risk management plan and risk register.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory, contractual & organisational standards.
  • Operational Management
  • Maintain requirements of Community Housing registrations nationally.
  • File appropriate reports with all regulatory agencies in consultation with State Managers.
  • Monitor and report on incidents and complaints received, ensuring system is updated and issues closed out within KPI's.
  • Policy and Strategy
  • Assist with the coordination, development and implementation of the strategic and business plans for Housing in alignment with national housing strategy and plans.
  • In conjunction with the CEO and GM, develop a tender response / tracking database nationally.
  • Support the preparation of responses to government inquiries, white papers or policy position.
  • Quality Improvement and Business Analytics
  • Design, develop and drive a Quality Management system to ensure consistency in service delivery.
  • Identify continuous improvement opportunities from incidents, complaints and other external sources.

Required Skills & Specialisms:


  • 5+ years' experience in quality, risk and compliance needed.
  • Experience within the nonprofit industry in a similar capacity needed.
  • Sound knowledge of housing regulatory systems nationally within the social housing and community welfare sector, or equivalent. (Highly advantageous)
  • Experience and understanding of ISO Highly advantageous)
  • Understanding the framework around government funding and affordable and community housing.
  • Exposure to government relations and policy advocacy.
  • Excellent written and verbal skills, and broad communication and influencing skills
