Join our dynamic Emergency Department at Werribee Mercy Hospital. Recruiting Australian Residents/

Join our fast growing Emergency Department at Werribee Mercy Hospital.

We are recruiting Australian Residents/ International Medical Graduates holding a current valid working visa and AHPRA Registration for August 2023 intake.


Be part of Werribee Mercy Hospital's exciting future Our ED sees a varied case mix of approximately 50,000+ patients per year, including 20% paediatrics.

There is a co-located 10-bed short stay unit managed by the ED.

The ED is ACEM accredited for 24 months advanced training in Emergency Medicine and for the ACEM Paediatric Logbook. There is the opportunity for external rotations to other specialties such as Anaesthetics, ICU, and General Medicine.

Registrars are well supported by Emergency Physicians and there is an active fellowship teaching and exam preparation programme, as well as a mentorship programme.

Registrar wage range from HM25 to HM30 ($ to $ per week)

  • Perfect for the nontertiary ED training requirement
  • Provides a broad ED experience in a mixed ED
  • Full time or Part Time based at Werribee Mercy Hospital

ABOUT YOU:


  • Registration as a Medical Practitioner with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA_)_
    or Passed AMC clinical Exam
- _ High standards of practice with a strong commitment to consumer and carer focused service_

  • Ability to work flexibly within the Public Emergency Health Services system
  • Prior experience working in the Public Emergency Health Services system will be of benefit
