Applications are invited for eligible final year medical students to join our team to complete their Internship at Mercy Health (Werribee Campus).

These are twelve (12) month positions commencing on 6th January 2025, starting with one week of Orientation.

The year is broken into five terms of roughly equal duration, with a two-week period of annual leave occurring during the course of the year and 3 weeks at the end of the clinical year.


Interns spend at least one term in each of their allocated rotations and must complete rotations in Domains A, B, C & D as per current AMC Framework and AHPRA requirements for General Registration.

The remaining term may be in any of a wide variety of rotations accredited for interns at Mercy Health by the PMCV.

Rotations on offer at Mercy are;

  • Intensive Care
  • Emergency Medicine
  • Surgical
  • Obstetrics & Gynaecology
  • Paediatrics
  • Psychiatry
  • General Medicine
  • Palliative Care
  • Geriatrics


Applicants not eligible for the PMCV Matching Process will not be considered as part of the Recruitment and Selection process.


About You:


  • Final year medical student, eligible for provisional registration as a medical practitioner in 202
  • Equipped with excellent communication skills and promote the Mercy Values of Compassion, Hospitality, Respect, Innovation, Stewardship and Teamwork.
  • Enthusiastic and motivated to make a real contribution to the provision of highquality care to an ethnically diverse, rapidly growing community

Werribee Mercy Hospital is a General Public Hospital located in the rapidly growing Western suburbs of Melbourne. Our services include surgical, medical, maternity, newborn, renal dialysis, emergency, mental health, rehabilitation, aged and palliative care.
