About the Role:


  • Applications are invited for eligible final year medical students to join our team to complete their Internship at Mercy Health (Werribee Campus).
  • These are twelve (12) month positions commencing on 8th January 2024, starting with one week of Orientation. The year is broken into five terms of roughly equal duration, with a twoweek period of annual leave occurring during the course of the year and the remaining 3 weeks at end of contract prior to commencing PGY2 year.
  • Interns spend at least one term in each of their allocated rotations and must complete rotations in Domains A, B, C & D as per current AMC Framework and AHPRA requirements for General Registration. The remaining term may be in any of a wide variety of rotations accredited for interns at Mercy Health by the PMCV.

  • Obstetrics & Gynaecology
  • Paediatrics
  • Mental Health
  • General Medicine
  • Palliative Care
  • Geriatrics
  • Applicants not eligible for the PMCV Matching Process will not be considered as part of the Recruitment and Selection process.

About You:


  • Final year medical student, eligible for provisional registration as a medical practitioner in 202
  • Equipped with excellent communication skills and promote the Mercy Values of Compassion, Hospitality, Respect, Innovation, Stewardship and Teamwork.
  • Enthusiastic and motivated to make a real contribution to the provision of high quality care to an ethnically diverse, rapidly growing community
