About the Role


We are currently looking for an experienced event assistant to work alongside our Sydney Royal Easter Show (SRES) Event Operations team to deliver various projects in the lead up to and during the SRES.

This role will also assist with the project coordination of the golf cart requirements, signage requirements and installation across the site as well as other SRES related projects.

This role is pivotal in providing strong operational support to ensure initiatives under this team are executed correctly. You will be working to strict deadlines, so time management, attention to detail and a hands-on approach are essential.


About you

To be successful in this role you would need to possess the following:

  • Demonstrated experience in the events industry, especially in an operational capacity
  • Demonstrated experience working on major outdoor events and/or projects
  • Intermediate to advanced administration skills
  • Ability to acquire knowledge quickly and accurately
  • Proven experience working under pressure and to tight deadlines
  • Previous experience working with various contractors and/or clients
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proven history of taking initiative, being punctual & reliable
  • Be able to work weekdays, weekends and late nights especially in the lead up to, during and post the SRES
  • Full Drivers License is essential
  • Forklift License and EWP License is desirable, but not essential
  • Be legally entitled to live & work in Australia.
  • Be willing to undertake a police clearance check if required
