Monash Health is Victoria's largest public health service. We provide safe, high-quality care to one-quarter of Melbourne's population, across the entire lifespan from pre-birth end-of-life. Monash Health Imaging performs over 400,000 Imaging examinations each year and has more than 500 employees.

We perform Imaging at Monash Medical Centre - Clayton, Dandenong Hospital, Casey Hospital, Kingston Centre, Moorabbin Hospital, Pakenham Health Hub and two dental sites.

Included at these sites are a full range of modalities including, X-ray, CT, Ultrasound, Nuclear Medicine, PET,/CT Fluoroscopy, Mammography, MRI, Bone Densitometry and Interventional Radiology.


About The Role


There are four Imaging Program Administration Assistants reporting to the Imaging Program Administration Manager, and each has a primary support portfolio.

In addition to their primary portfolio, all four Administration Assistants and the Manager deliver a large range of additional Program Administration activities.

This is a full-time ongoing role, working primarily at Monash Medical Centre; Clayton.


About You


You have an administrative qualification e.g business administration, experience in a personal assistant role and ideally 2 or more years' experience with a healthcare environment.

You have an ability to effectively communicate with multi-function streams and diverse stakeholders. You also have professional discretion and diplomacy and ability to handle confidential material. Communication skills and teamwork are extremely important in this role as you will be working in a diverse team.

You are an experienced Administration Assistant and have proven yourself as an effective team player and have provided high level administrative support to busy teams.


You thrive working in a dynamic, fast paced environment and demonstrate a flexible, can-do attitude and strong organisational, communication and time management skills.

With strong written and verbal communication skills, you are hardworking, honest and you respect and uphold the strict confidentiality requirements inherent in roles like this.

You enjoy the challenges that come from working in a busy and dynamic setting, where organisational priorities can change frequently, and you are flexible to respond to changing needs without losing focus on the tasks at hand.


You also possess the following:

  • High level of organisational and time management skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the capacity to function collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a complex environment, to meet task requirements to a high standard and achieve deadlines; and to manage changing priorities in a flexible, positive way
  • Ability to prioritise work and exercise discretion with established policies, guidelines and procedures
  • Previous experience working as an administrative assistant within Health care
  • Administrative experience in a healthcare setting is highly desirable but similar experience in other industries will be considered
  • Excellent customer service skills and a high standard of both written and verbal communication skills
  • The ability to use initiative and perform tasks independently and be able to work effectively and harmoniously as part of a team
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Good working knowledge of hospital administrative processes and hospital systems (KRONOS, iProc, BEIMS, Riskman, Mercury Erecruit, LanPage, iPM) is desirable
