About the Role
The main objective of the Pathology

  • MDT Admin officer is to facilitate a clinicallyappropriate and timely pathway for cancer patients.


The post-holder is responsible for the retrieving histopathology reports and slides for multidisciplinary team meetings for a particular cancer specialty.

Coordinating receipt, registration, tracking and return of external slides for clinical meetings. Returning pathology blocks and slides to file upon completion of testing and review.


This post will play a key role in the MDT group and will be integral to our aim to provide the best care to our patients.



Position requirements:

Technical skills/ knowledge / experience

  • Advanced verbal, written and interpersonal skills involving good use of English
  • Proven excellent customer service skills
  • Excellent telephone skills
  • Demonstrated experience with data entry associated with high level computer keyboard skills
  • Time management including capacity to prioritise effectively to meet the requirements of the position
  • Proven ability to accept change with a commitment to high quality outcomes
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Previous experience in a healthcare setting
  • Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

  • Medical Terminology

Position requirements:

  • Current and satisfactory Police Check (must also comply with Aged Care Act 1997 Accountability Amendment Principles 2012 if working in Aged Care setting)
  • Current and satisfactory Working With Children Check as per Monash Health 'Child Safe Policy' and the Working With Children Act 200
  • Participate in annual performance development discussions with your manager and complete all mandatory and role specific competencies
