The opportunity
Our client is a community focused federal government agency. They have an exciting opportunity available for an APS6 Strategic Communications Officer to join their Internal Communications team.

12-month initial Labour Hire contracts with the opportunity to extend.

This a APS6 level position paying $60.26 hourly + Superannuation.

To be based out of Geelong, this is a hybrid position offering 2 days working from home, with the remaining 3 on site.

37.5-hour work weeks.

Your responsibilities will include:

Demonstrating exceptional organisation skills and high attention with all detail.
Championing plain English and ensure all collateral is accessible and aligns with the Client's style and branding guidelines.
Leading through example, serving as a trusted communications expert, helping key internal stakeholders and business partners deliver the objectives of each project.
Drafting clear, concise and effective messaging for different audiences, including creation of talking points and speeches
Contributing towards the development and delivery of different communications plans, progressing approvals and coordination of golive collateral.
Identifying and developing important internal stakeholder relationships, addressing and resolving any emerging challenges with stakeholders.
Evaluating the impact of communications, identifying any future learnings and determining whether the identified objectives for each project have been achieved.
Supporting team members with administration, technical and procedural tasks.
