Description
Construction for urban development projects. Involvement from tender stage.

  • Team Lead / Senior role suited to someone with 838 years experience.
  • CBD fringe offices, close to trams and trains. Take home $130k $150k ++

Bored of sitting in a team and it being groundhog day? Career ceiling above and no where to go? It's common in construction roles

Try this instead:

What's in it for you?

  • A newly created role which can be modified to suit your skillset and career aspirations. Lead a small group and manage your own construction projects.
  • A welcoming and team based office culture
  • Really sound pay both short and longterm expected: $130k $150k p/a Super, plus car allowance, plus potential for quarterly bonus.

The Company
This is a long-established engineering consultancy that delivers innovative urban development solutions across Victoria.

They are a privately owned, Australian group and have been in Melbourne for 6 years. Other offices are longer standing. The potential for growth in Victoria is huge.

The role
They seek a dedicated (senior ideal) Civil Construction Engineer to join the team on a permanent basis.

You know what to do - you've been a Construction Engineer before.

Day to day, you'll be:

  • Involved in tendering for new work
  • Organising site inspections and project meetings
  • Reviewing engineering designs for constructability
  • Managing the construction phase of projects
  • Contract admin (you don't have to love it)
  • Issue notifications to Water Authorities & Contractors to enable works
  • Liaise with Clients, Contractors, Sub-Contractors, relevant Authorities

About you
Honestly? This group is looking for someone with experience in a similar position from a different consultancy.

What's different is that this company will allow your career to progress faster than before. They are very open-minded and offer share buy-in for all. You therefore get rewarded handsomely - arguably better than others in similar roles.

Water Authority (MRWA) accreditation is ideal - WA1, WA2, SA1, SA- because this is a specific role which will be lasting in the group and you'll be dedicated to making projects happen.

If you don't have the certifications, it isn't a deal breaker.
