Background
Civil buildings teams mostly 'service' their internal client - the structures team.

You will do that here too. It'll be where you start. It won't be where you end.

As a lead in the team you'll influence and build your own client pool.

The company
An award-winning professional consulting firm located in the CBD, within a 3 minute fast walk to Southern Cross station.

A growing team of 20 structural engineers who are moving from strength to strength as they win impressive projects across commercial and retail sectors in particular.

Projects are diverse in breadth and size, ranging from $30m in value to $250m.

The reason for the vacancy
This is a new role within the company's strategic plan of bringing civil engineering in-house.

Day to day
You've been doing this for a while so you'll know what consulting in the buildings sector is about.

This role will see you doing end-to-end design as well as civil project management. In time, you'll delegate design to your team of engineers. You'll stay hands on at a strategic level and continue building relationships with clients.

You:

We seek someone with the following:

Melbourne based civil design experience

years' experience, give or take (some from building civils)
