About the role:


This 0.8 FTE 3-month contract role at The Florey is a fantastic opportunity to immerse yourself in the world of neuroscience and mental health research, while using your exceptional skills in communications and publications.


You will heavily contribute to the production of The Florey's Annual Report by leading the project, with help from the team, as well as produce the day-to-day content for our website and social media channels.


With the culmination of a new brand and new website for The Florey, this is an exciting time to create some highly professional and engaging content to best represent the organisation, and add to your portfolio.

This position is a fixed term, three-month, part time role at 0.8 FTE, with the possibility of an extension.

The role attracts an annual salary offer ranging from Higher Education Worker 7-1 (HEW 7-1) $71,136 (pro-rata) to Higher Education Worker 7-5 (HEW 7-5) $77, pro-rata), commensurate with experience.

There will be consideration for work from home arrangements.

About you:


  • Excellent writing skills
  • A good eye for design
  • Basic graphic design skills (e.g. Canva)
  • Communications project management experience
  • Must have produced an Annual Report (or similar) for a similar size of organisation
  • Strong familiarity with social media content production and metrics
Experience with the below is desirable, but not essential:

  • Experience in higher education or a research setting
