About the role
Senior Capital Procurement Business Partner will:
Play a key role as a partner in procurement and tendering processes (preferably for public sector) and working collaboratively across Council to champion our purpose of Growing Townsville and to deliver the Corporate Plan in consultation with the Townsville Community. This position is accountable to the Chief Procurement Officer and will be focused on the delivery of procurement regarding Council's capital plan; negotiating with supplier to deliver value; manage customer relationships, developing a culture of customer-centricity and personal accountability; and reshaping how we deliver services to maximise value.
This position is responsible for delivering effective and efficient specialist procurement services and advice, supporting best practice, defining sourcing strategies that will support the delivery of the capital program, achieving value for money, partnering with stakeholders to ensure effective procurement outcomes, providing feedback and input to inform section and organisational policy and procedure, operating at a strategic management level though having an understanding at the operational level, making tender recommendations and developing related reports and submitting, and providing input and assistance into procurement related business cases.
