    About the Team

    At the forefront of bringing our vision to life is our Operations business unit. Operations is a diverse group of teams which share the common goal of ensuring Tabcorp's commercial and operational excellence to deliver an unrivalled customer and partner experience. Critical to this objective is our Risk Advisory team which partners with senior leaders across Operations to implement, improve and mature our risk management culture, processes, and frameworks.

    About the Role

    As the Senior Risk & Compliance Manager you'll partner with senior stakeholders across Operations to lead efforts to reduce the overall risk profile and build appropriate risk management capability. Included in your portfolio, you will support our customer contact, service support, race day control and field technician / service delivery and risk monitoring groups to:

    • undertake risk and compliance assessments to develop and review business unit risk profiles (including risk identification / documentation);
    • establish robust risk management processes, standard operating procedures, and controls to manage operational, regulatory, or reputational risks;
    • educate senior stakeholders and their teams on compliance obligations, key risks, and monitoring activities;
    • promote a strong risk and compliance culture by supporting the implementation of risk management initiatives and systems;
    • develop monitoring and reporting processes to evaluate adherence to risk and compliance processes and controls (and present those findings to key stakeholders);
    • assess, analyse, and assist in the remediation of any breaches and carry out trend analysis of incidents to understand root causes and process gaps; and
    • conduct risk assessments and provide advice on key projects/initiatives to ensure risks are appropriately managed throughout the project lifecycle.

    What You'll Bring

    To be successful in this role you'll be an accomplished professional in risk management, internal audit, compliance, or consulting within large or complex listed Australian Corporates or professional services firms. Additionally, you'll possess:

    • a strong contemporary understanding of risk and compliance, risk/governance frameworks and control structures,
    • strong stakeholder management skills with proven ability to operate and influence at senior levels and have a positive impact on senior management, business outcomes and risk culture;
    • solid experience in a leadership role with the ability to mentor or manage team members;
    • proven analytical, planning, and problem-solving skills combined with a practical and commercial focus;
    • curious and adaptive mindset with experience in continuous process improvement and change management; and
    • excellent written and verbal communication skills which enable you to engage, influence and negotiate with senior stakeholders across the business.
