As part of the Risk Management Line 2 team, you will lead assurance and advisory engagements with departments to examine, evaluate and provide objective assessments on risks and controls.

You will identify, plan, agree and deliver a range of engagements to stakeholders within the Bank, and report on the outcomes and benefits.


Your background and experience from a similar role will allow you to effectively deal with complex issues and a range of stakeholders including at executive levels.

Your professional and positive engagement style will drive and maintain a strong risk culture. With the knowledge and skills your team will share, will encourage appropriate risk mitigation by management.


Managing a small team, you and your team will plan line 2 risk assurance activities, coordinating with internal audit and line 1 stakeholders.

You will lead your team to review the design and operation of the Bank's risks and controls in accordance with the Bank's risk framework and procedures, to confirm that they are comprehensive and effective to support Bank objectives.


Experience and Responsibilities- Experience in the design and testing of internal controls to provide assurance that operational, people, technology, strategic and project risks are controlled.- Broad experience and knowledge of assurance methodologies, controls, and frameworks.- Support the improvement of risk management in the Bank by providing advice, expertise and support across departments.- Support the assessment of risks and the implementation of controls and frameworks (including through short term secondments) by you and your team.- Produce high quality reports with evaluations on the control environment including practical suggestions to remedy weaknesses and for operational improvements with recommendations that consider costs and benefits and risk appetite.- Strong skills and experienced in data and analysis to develop insights to the risk profile, and to build and maintain an integrated view of controls' effectiveness and assurance activities.- Preparation and coordination of reports and administrative arrangements for risk related committees.- Qualifications: Relevant tertiary qualifications in economics, finance, risk, compliance or related discipline, or equivalent experience.
