As the Supervisor Operational Services, you will be responsible for coordinating and supervising the Operational Services staff at Ipswich Hospital on a 24/7 rotating roster.

You will support the management of the team by coordinating cleaning, porterage, waste, the mortuary, and linen services to meet organisational goals.

About you

  • Ability and experience in supervising and providing training and support to the Operational Services team.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience working in Operational Services and in the use of appropriate techniques and equipment.
  • Proven organisational skills with ability to utilise problem solving strategies, prioritise and allocate tasks.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills with ability to lead and manage a multidisciplinary team.

Mandatory Requirements:


  • Vaccinated against, and remain vaccinated against, certain vaccine preventable diseases (VPD) as outlined in the Health Employment Directive NO. 01/1
  • Vaccinated against COVID19 as outlined in the Health Employment Directive NO.12/21and the Queensland Health Human Resources Policy B70.
