    Description

    Our client is a multinational insurer looking for an actuarial analyst or a newly qualified actuary to join their pricing and analytics team.

    Responsibilities:

    • Performs technical pricing analysis for flow business and structured products. Assesses the viability of proposed commercial rates
    • Performs analysis and analytics of portfolio composition and performance to assist in managing the business
    • Assists in the preparation of management reporting to the business
    • Assists in the development and maintenance of new models supported by specialist modelling teams and performs model runs for existing models

    Requirements:

    • Newly Qualified or progressing to qualification as a fellow of the Institute of Actuaries of Australia (or equivalent)
    • Minimum 2 years of prior experience within the general insurance industry
    • Specialist skills in Actuarial pricing and analytical techniques highly desirable
    • Strong inter-personal skills and willingness/ ability to function as member of a multi-disciplined, international team
    • Experience in LMI and/or banking would be highly regarded
    • Proficient with modern programming languages\software such as Python, R, Data Bricks, Snowflake, Microsoft Office products and advanced Excel skills.
