    Job Description

    You are the beginning of an exceptional guest experience. As a Reservations Agent, you will make our guests feel welcome and reflect the exceptional experience the come when they arrive

    Some key duties for this role will include:

  • Process and input reservations following hotel reservations policy.
  • Book room reservation requests, enter rooming lists, and update accurate information in the system
  • Answer all calls promptly, within 3 rings using specified greeting for hotel, in a courteous and efficient manner. Ensure that all relevant information is obtained.
  • Ensure all reservations are accurately actioned within the same working day.
  • Maintain an efficient reservations filing system with applicable dates, ensuring any past reservations are filed away effectively and in a timely manner.
  • Consistently offer exceptional, friendly and engaging service
  • Ensure the best selection for the guest and ensure revenue is maximized through up-selling
  • Recommend property facilities and assist guests with information and special requests
  • Qualifications

    Your experience, skills and attributes include:

  • Guest focused personality is essential; experience is an asset
  • Computer literate. Prior experience working with Opera or a related system is a must
  • Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities
  • Fluency in English language both written and verbal; additional languages are a plus
  • Warm, engaging and professional phone manners.
  • Education and/or experience in: sales, customer service, hospitality or tourism is an advantage
  • Ability to navigate multiple computer programs simultaneously while conversing with guests.
