The Education Consultant is accountable for providing leadership and forward planning for the implementation of the Education Quality Framework (EQF) and Educational Excellence Framework (EEF) policies and processes as the accepted model for educational management and development at Chisholm for all educational products, including courses and services.


The role's focus is to maintain and provide expert advice on the policies and processes embedded within the EQF and EEF, to establish, implement and monitor the effectiveness of the Learning and Assessment System for the institute.

Additionally, the role will provide expert support to delivery areas to design and implement innovative delivery models, learning sequencing and assessment tools, across all sectors consistent with the EQF, ASQA standards and the Education Plan.


The position is focused on:

  • Educational quality support and guide delivery areas in the design and development of course delivery and assessment in line with external regulations, Standards and contractual obligations
  • Delivery innovation provide expert advice and leadership to delivery areas in the review and implementation of learner centric delivery, including blended and hybrid learning models
  • Pedagogic leadership provide expertise on planning, design, strategies, practices, learner outcomes and contribute to state or national strategic projects
  • Assessment practice implement quality and consistent practice within the Institute utilising innovative assessment models and tools
  • Commercial viability contribute expert advice to the review of existing and future products


The incumbent is a key and active participant of the Academic Excellence and Innovation portfolio and provides expertise to the Institute on educational planning, design and delivery with an emphasis on innovative program, learning and assessment design.


ABOUT YOU
You will have the following qualifications, skills & experience:

  • Certificate IV Training and Assessment TAE40116 or qualifications that meet standards for RTOs 201
  • TAE50116 Diploma of Vocational Education and Training or equivalent
  • Vocational qualifications relevant to or above the level required for any current teaching requirement along with industry currency
  • Proven experience in developing, designing and delivering innovative educational programs and assessment tools, including developing RPL tools for varying industry sectors,
  • Proven experience in designing and delivering professional development to educators and industry both accredited and nonaccredited
  • Demonstrated ability to build strong collaborative relationships, using influence and trust with key stakeholders across all levels of an organisation including business areas, industry, government and the community
  • Demonstrated excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated quality management experience developing and writing policy and process within the education sector.
  • An understanding of current developments and contemporary approaches to pedagogy in education and training, especially the use of embedded technology within learning and assessment and current workplace assessment practices
  • Proven ability to design, lead, project manage and evaluate project initiatives related to the dissemination and embedding in practice of an Education Plan.
  • Experience working collaboratively in diverse teams
