    Are you a Senior Project Manager with Baseline Clearance looking for your next exciting opportunity?

    Davidson, in collaboration with a government department in Canberra are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead critical projects within the team.

    The Role and Responsibilities:

    As a Senior Project Manager, you will oversee the execution of ongoing and upcoming projects across various domains including corporate applications, infrastructure platforms (e.g., cloud hosting, migration, cyber security, data & analytics), and software development within the department.

    Your responsibilities will include:

    • Managing the end-to-end delivery of departmental projects following established project management methodologies (e.g., Prince2, Agile, SAFe, hybrid).
    • Providing mentorship and leadership to a diverse project team, third-party vendors, and other departmental units to ensure successful project outcomes.
    • Enforcing project governance by overseeing project initiation and closure, scope management, scheduling, reporting to senior executives and governance bodies, financial management, and proactive risk management.
    • Offering delivery support across broader programs of work as directed by the department and/or the Project Management Office.

    About You

    We are seeking candidates with the following skills and experiences:

    • Proven experience in managing and delivering ICT-related projects or large-scale corporate ICT transformation programs.
    • Proficiency in adapting to various delivery methodologies including waterfall, Agile, and Hybrid.
    • Proven ability to manage technical teams and collaborate with multiple vendors to achieve project objectives within tight deadlines.
    • Strong presentation skills with the capability to prepare and deliver reports, artifacts, and documentation to project boards, senior executives, and governance bodies.
    • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills to foster strong relationships and effectively engage with internal and external stakeholders.
    • Personal resilience and flexibility to navigate through ambiguity and conflicting priorities while delivering results under pressure in a challenging environment.

    This is an initial 12-month contract opportunity with potential for extension. Candidates must possess a valid Baseline security clearance.
