- Relevant tertiary qualification and extensive experience in Public Relations, Marketing or Communications role.
- Experience in the supervision of staff or project teams.
- Ability to lead, supervise and develop a Communications and Marketing team including annual planning, identifying training and development requirements and manage work performance.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills including the ability to liaise with a diverse range of people and stakeholders.
- Proven experience working in partnership with a range of stakeholders including external consultants and service providers, as well as local, state and federal governments.
- Demonstrated ability to plan strategically, implement best practice policies, systems and standards.
- Proven ability to develop high quality communications across a range of platforms including website , social media platforms, media releases, council reports, marketing placements, strategies, and operational plans.
