    Your Career

    As the Major Account Manager for the Australian Defence sector at Palo Alto Networks, you will play a crucial role as an individual contributor. Your responsibilities will include boosting sales growth, expanding our market presence in the designated region, managing top-tier accounts, fostering strong relationships with key executives, and meeting sales quotas and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). This position demands exceptional leadership, strategic insight, and a profound understanding of cybersecurity solutions within the Federal Government.

    Your Impact

    • Develop and implement Go-To-Market strategies in the Australian Defence sector, in line with Palo Alto Networks' overall business goals
    • Conduct direct sales activities, oversee major and strategic accounts, and establish strong relationships with key decision-makers
    • Drive revenue growth by surpassing sales targets, identifying new business prospects, and steering sales processes to successful conclusions
    • Exhibit a comprehensive understanding of the cybersecurity landscape in the specified region, leveraging this expertise to communicate the distinctive value of Palo Alto Networks' solutions to clients
    • Collaborate with various teams such as Marketing, Product, and Engineering to deliver customized solutions that effectively address customer requirements
    • Serve as a trusted consultant to clients, offering cybersecurity insights and strategic advice to help them achieve their business objectives
    • Utilize your entrepreneurial mindset to pinpoint and pursue growth prospects, establish partnerships, and ensure long-term success

    Your Experience

    • Minimum of 10 years of successful experience in technology-related sales or business development at a business-to-business (B2B) software company
    • Proven track record as a top-performing individual contributor, consistently exceeding sales targets and achieving significant revenue growth
    • Strong understanding of the Australian Defence sector, including key players, customer needs, and competitive landscape
    • Experience in selling cybersecurity solutions or related technologies to defense organizations, federal government agencies, and enterprises in the specified region
    • Superior communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, with the ability to engage and influence C-level executives and key stakeholders
    • Demonstrated capability in devising and executing strategic sales plans, managing intricate sales cycles, and closing high-value deals independently
    • Possess an entrepreneurial outlook focused on continual enhancement and innovative sales methodologies
