About the role:
- Defence Security
- Work closely with relevant Optus functional area specialists to ensure adequate security solutions are engineered and deployed in cloud environments and together with other platforms to mitigate identified risks sufficiently, and to meet business objectives and regulatory requirements
- Manage the development and delivery of security engineering processes, programs, and artefacts.
- Serve as a security consultant and expert to ensure project teams comply with security policies, industry regulations, and best practices.
- Research and advocate adoption of new security technologies, architectures, and security products that will support security requirements.
- Optus functional area specialists to support the embedding of AIC elements within all operational domains of the Optus Satellite Team and ensure that AIC becomes 'the business of the business'.
- Leverage synergies between AIC, Corporate Social Responsibility and Group Sustainability initiatives in areas such as, but not limited to, Veteran Engagement.
About you:
- Ability to gain and maintain appropriate Defence Security Clearance
- Advanced Diploma in Computer Science, Engineering, Technical, Education, Information Technology, Information Systems, Business, Management, Technology or Defence equivalent.
- 3 years of experience as a Defence Security Officer.
- Experience with core infrastructure components such as TCP/IP, VPN, file transfer and remote administration protocols.
- Understanding of the AIC framework and Knowledge of regulatory and statutory compliance.

- Availability to respond to security alerts outside of business hours.
