Position Information:

Homebush Boys High School is a comprehensive boy's high school (enrolment of 900 students), with a proud tradition of strong academic achievement and excellence in the fields of sport, the creative arts and many extracurricular activities.

We are highly multicultural in nature with over 90% of students with a language background other than English. We have a focus on maximising student learning outcomes with a continuing commitment to literacy and numeracy. Our school staff is experienced and committed to engaging boys in meaningful learning experiences. We advocate safety, learning and respect in alignment with the values of the Positive Behaviour for Learning program.

The school has a strong reputation in the community and continues to build educational networks to further the opportunities for students.

Selection Criteria:

Approval to teach Mathematics 710, Mathematics 1112 and Mathematics Extensions 1 &
Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and collegially within an experienced Mathematics faculty, including the commitment to participate in whole school initiatives.
Highly developed interpersonal, communication and organisational skills to build positive relationships with the students, staff, parents and the wider community.
Proven capacity to use effective classroom management skills and wellbeing practices to create Mathematics classrooms that are dynamic, engaging, inclusive, and foster a culture of high expectations.
