About the business
QPTS provide support to the Australian mining and industrial sectors, and we have a number of exciting opportunities for experienced Belt Splicers to join our team You will be joining our shutdown circuit, mobilising from Perth, with ongoing work throughout 2023


Your duties

  • Handling conveyor belt systems and associated components such as roller frames, skirting systems and belt cleaner systems, conveyor belt tracking units, and chutes
  • Operating conveyor vulcanizing and belt handling equipment
  • Handling fabric belts
  • Uphold excellent communication skills, commitment to safety, selfmotivation, and a committed work ethic.

About you
We are looking for experienced belt splicers, with the relevant qualifications (or equivalent experience)


Specifically, you will have:

  • Cert III in Polymer Processing OR willingness to undertake Registered Prior Learning (RPL)
  • Significant exposure to fabric and/or steel cord belts
  • Exposure to the mining industry
  • A "think safe, work safe" mind set
  • Cando and solutionsbased attitude
  • Ability to work autonomously, working toward a common goal

Salary:
$ $65.00 per hour


Schedule:

  • 10 hour shift
  • 12 hour shift

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Perth WA: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (preferred)

Experience:

Belt Splicing: 3 years (required)

  • Australia (required)
