About the Role
Our client has been providing high-level, sought-after financial advice and tax services for over 20 years. They are seeking an experienced

Financial Planning Assistant to join their growing team of dedicated and motivated professionals who are committed to providing consistent results, while taking a holistic approach to clients circumstances.


Reporting directly to the Director, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive advice to clients overlooking strategies within the insurance sector.

A vast experience in basic accounting duties is vital to this role.

Duties:
  • Enter client information into financial planning software. Perform projections and other calculations with the client data for review by the Senior Para
  • planner & Director.
  • Assist with BAS and ATO downloads for clients.


  • Accounting duties

  • Payroll and superannuation, Trust and Tax refund, AR, AP and Bookkeeping.
  • Obtain information on managed funds and equities.
  • Set up broker accounts for share trading.
  • Prepare client reviews.
  • Perform other administration office adhoc duties.

Skills and Experience:


  • Minimum 2 years' experience in a financial planning industry (Insurance sector).
  • Experience in financial accounting (Payroll, Superannuation, Tax refund, Bookkeeping).
  • Advanced Microsoft Office suite skills
  • Excellent communication & interpersonal skills; confident dealing with others
  • Experience with Midwinter or other financial planning software
  • Experience with QuickBooks or other bookkeeping program/s
  • Willingness to comply with myriad rules.
  • High attention to detail with the ability to prioritise and multitask
