    Description

    This role serves as the leader for strategy and architecture for the integration domain in Enterprise Services.

    There are two key stakeholders for the role, one being the Chief Architect, with whom the day-to-day reporting structure sits, and the other being the GM Data Services, and GM Corporate with whom a dotted reporting line exists.

    The Enterprise Integration Architect is responsible for setting the strategy for integration architecture and providing technical architecture direction for delivery of the target state by developing and maintaining the integration architecture roadmap. In this exciting role, you will be the technical thought leader on all integration needs into group architecture functions, meetings and providing enterprise level guidance and governance back to our core business transformation programs. Additionally, you will be defining the strategy and delivering an integration reference architecture that leads into the future with a modernised integration capability.

    Commercial & Strategic Priorities

    • Define an Enterprise Integration Strategy, supporting the business strategy, objectives and transformation agenda.
    • Define and document the integration value chain for the enterprise.
    • Conduct detailed analysis of business processes, requirements, and work with senior stakeholders, third-party partners, and standards organisations develop the future integration reference architecture including integration platforms and integration management components.
    • Develop and maintain integration architecture standards, policies, and best practices.
    • Work with and customise industry-standard integration frameworks to produce and maintain integration models/patterns tailored to the specific business domains.
    • Design integration patterns and data flows to facilitate accessibility and real-time insights for analytics, business intelligence, and reporting purposes, both internally and externally
    • Analyse existing system behaviour, integration patterns, and business process implementations to facilitate seamless integration mapping from existing patterns to new modernised integration methods.
    • Participate in architecture governance forums to ensure that business unit projects are aligned with broader enterprise-wide strategy and architecture to ensure high levels of cohesion, consistency and reuse across the enterprise.
    • Advocates and drives a focus on customer needs and improving the customer experience.
    • Applies a commercial focus on all work to ensure that the desired business outcomes are met; this will often require the individual to work with commercially sensitive information and data.
    • Communicates with both external (e.g. solution vendors, customers) and internal (e.g. business GMs) parties to create architecture solutions that are aligned with our strategic intent.
    • Builds strong, trusted relationships with business and Enterprise Services stakeholders. This includes providing thought leadership to our businesses to help shape and influence their strategies.
    • Collaborate with internal and external development teams and technical architects to drive integration architecture design, API contract design, and system integration implementation.
    • Work with Security Architects to define and agree on integration security protocols and compliance requirements.
    • Maintains awareness of current Information Security standards and ensures all activities comply with the enterprise standards.
